Thanksgiving Weekend

[Above]
Thanksgiving Day (too busy cooking and eating to take too many pictures!)
1. My yeast ROSE!!! (this has never happened before)
2. So proud of my rising yeast.
3. Homemade apple pie.
4. Ky and me after eating.

Kahuku Football State Championship. THEY WON!
Highschool football's a pretty big deal around here.
Awesome game, awesome crowd.
I screamed myself hoarse!
I think the coolest part of the entire thing was on the hour long drive home on our little two lane highway. MASSES of people were out on the side of the road, yelling, screaming, dancing, people were honking their horns the entire way home (the guy we were with said once his Dad honked his horn so much on the way home that his car battery died!). The support for this team after a rough last year was amazing and inspiring! I love where I live.

1. A rained out Saturday beach day turned Christmas tree hunt.
2. Hunt complete, Christmas tree up and smelling lovely.
3/4. Swede's new favorite place to hang out. So many branches to chew on, dangling ornaments, and a new place to hide when we suggest any sort of activity he doesn't want to do (kennel, bath, etc.) He's in heaven.

All in all, Thanksgiving weekend was a success and a much needed break!

First of all - the pie looks delicious. Tree is beautiful. AND then there is Swede - very special day and holiday. Love and miss you three.

Aw you're too cute! Hot dang! Look at that yeast! The apple pie looks amazing! Swede is so darling! We had a bad experience with our family pet cat back in the day...it involved a tree...let's just say we had to rewrap all the presents that Christmas! Hope you had a great time this weekend girl!

My yeast did not rise! It was such a bummer, especially since the rolls were the only thing I was really responsible for:) Also, yay for real Christrmas trees! The smell is the best.
